About One Blonde Brit
One Blonde Brit is a travel & lifestyle guide exploring luxury in an affordable way, with tried & tested advice offered for various worldwide destinations. This platform predominantly caters to young professionals and travellers who value attention to detail, quality service and a sense of luxury, despite the fact that they may not have the means to indulge as regularly as they would like. Budgets are always relative and this platform exists to ensure your travel options aren’t limited to an ‘all or nothing’ scenario.
Behind The Blog
In a nutshell, One Blonde Brit’s Founder & Editor, Olivia (me!), is a blonde, British, young professional based in London. Outside of blogging, I’m a PR expert with over a decade of experience in the luxury industry, working closely with a number of established travel, fashion and lifestyle brands.
The Journey
Initially, One Blonde Brit began as a personal travel journal in my early 20s. It has grown and developed over the years, as I became exposed to different opportunities and my priorities shifted in line with my experiences.
Having dedicated myself to a full-time career working with luxury fashion and travel brands, I’ve been exposed to some incredible places which furthered my appreciation for the luxury industry. During the early stages of my career it would have been impossible for me to enjoy such places on my own dime and, as a result, I decided to carve out an online space to document these global adventures, with advice on how to get the most out of them, without breaking the bank.
One Blonde Brit was therefore created to divulge the secrets I’ve learned (and am still learning) from within the luxury sector about what’s worth investing in and which tourist traps to skip. This platform is where I shares those secrets with other young professionals, like myself, who enjoy the finer things in life but still have budgetary restrictions to contend with.
After all, you don’t necessarily need buckets of cash to enjoy luxury hotels and experiences. You just need to know how to look and what, if anything, to compromise on.
