Paradise Cove Resort is simply exceptional. The service is flawless, the food is divine and the accommodation is absolutely stunning. If you are looking for luxury with a strong affinity to the natural beauty of Fiji, this resort is for you.
Naukacuvu Island, Yasawa, Fiji
Paradise Cove Resort has a variety of room categories. As a 5* property, all of these rooms are pretty exquisite. Unlike sister resort, Blue Lagoon, there aren’t any backpacker-friendly hostel-style options available. Rooms range from Garden Bungalows to the ultimate ‘Beach House‘, a private luxury hideaway. We stayed in the ‘Paradise Suite‘ for X2 nights and I can safely say that it’s the best and most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in (so far).
I don’t know where to begin when describing the Paradise Suite. This one-bedroom villa has an open plan layout and is just beautiful. I simply can’t choose my favourite thing about it! It’s situated on the beach, just a few soft, sandy steps from the ocean and your private sun loungers. There is also an incredible private plunge pool and the outdoor bathroom is GORGEOUS. Not only is it massive, but it also provides spectacular sunset views in the evening.
The suite is impeccably clean, with functioning A/C, a safe, free WiFi and a complimentary mini-bar. The staff kindly showed us around the villa whilst we pretended we weren’t ridiculously excited by our beautiful accommodation. The moment we were left alone we tucked into our chilled beverages and hopped into our private pool overlooking the ocean. Does life get much better than that?!
As with many Fijian resorts that we experienced, there is one main dining spot. Paradise Cove’s Restaurant, ‘The Black Rock’, is situated pool-side for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a separate bar, ‘The Sandbar’, to fulfil all your sunshine-filled happy hour needs. But back to the restaurant. Their à la carte menu changes regularly and dinner is made up of five courses. All of which have been carefully considered. The dining area is open plan and there is live music throughout the evening which creates a lovely, romantic ambience.
You also won’t be disappointed when it comes to breakfast or lunch as there is so much to choose from. In addition to the fresh continental breakfast offering, there is an à la carte menu with everything from pancakes to smoked salmon. Alternatively, you can opt to dine in your villa or suite should you prefer. We just loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, particularly at dinner time, so we didn’t choose to do this.
The meal plan is at an additional cost to your accommodation, so make sure you are aware of the up-to-date pricing of this before you stay. The nice thing about the meal plan is that you then don’t need to worry about the pricing of your meals as everything is included, aside from alcohol (of which they have a fine selection).
Nothing is too much trouble for the amazing staff here. They do so much to ensure that you are happy throughout your stay and we couldn’t have been more grateful to them. Everyone was so kind, plus, we could tell that they were sincere. The genuine joy they exuded when making conversation was the icing on top of the cake for us.
The main pool can be found next to the bar/restaurant, just moments from the beach. There are plenty of sun loungers and this pool is family-friendly.
The resort also has ‘The Cove’ which is an adult-only area featuring two pools and a separate bar. This little resort within the resort is a well-kept secret. So well kept, we didn’t even know about it during our stay!
This gorgeous getaway features white sand beaches as far as the eye can see. All of the beachfront villas have their own private sun loungers and straw umbrellas, but there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. It’s also ‘all tide’ swimming at Paradise Cove which can be hard to come across in Fiji, as so many of the islands are encompassed by coral.
There is a lovely looking spa here but I didn’t make use of it as I’d very recently received a Fijian massage. Honestly, our suite was so gorgeous that we didn’t really leave it. Which is quite unlike me as I’m usually one to make the most of all resort facilities. I suppose this is just another testament to how fabulous our suite was!
The resort offers a kids club, babysitting services and plenty of fun supervised activities for children. I know some couples prefer to opt for adult-only resorts on their getaways, but I assure you that this island is big enough for everyone. Plus, there are adult-only areas you can sneak off to.
On top of all this, there are plenty of opportunities for romance. The exceptional staff will set up champagne and lobster whenever and wherever you like. I can guarantee, celebrating here is certainly a memory to cherish.
The world is your oyster at Paradise Cove. They have everything you could ever want including yoga, hiking, swimming with Manta Rays and a plethora of ways to get involved in with the local community.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of ‘enforced fun’ or jam-packed schedules whilst I’m on holiday. Paradise Cove has mastered the balance. This idyllic island has an abundance of ways to kick back and relax. On the flip side, adventure is always available to those that want it.
Our short escape to Paradise Cove Resort was truly one of the best I have ever had and I still often talk about it. As it’s so special, I’ve given it a unique 6-star rating. This rating is really because sister resort, Blue Lagoon, was absolutely faultless and I didn’t want to do it a disservice by giving just 4 stars, however, Paradise Cove is incomparable.
Our only regret was not staying longer. Out of all the islands we experienced, we sadly stayed at our favourite for the shortest amount of time. C’est la vie! Given the chance, I would return in a heartbeat.
I hope this review has given you an idea of Fiji’s beauty and an in-depth representation of this gorgeous resort. If you’re looking for an equally impressive Fijian resort which is slightly lower in price, I highly recommend sister property Blue Lagoon. You can read the full review here: Blue Lagoon Beach Resort
